ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Giovanni SimeoneBorn in 1968, he studied photography at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan, Italy. In the early 90’s he worked in Germany for a photo agency and traveled for almost 3 years around the world, then moved to Paris and started working as an exclusive contracted reportage photographer for Le Figaro Magazine. After producing more then 50 reportages in each corner of the globe, he spent almost 10 years in trying to catch the right atmosphere in each place he went. In the first decade of the new millennium he started his photo agency Simephoto (www.simephoto.com), driving a group of 50 among the best landscape and travel photographer in Europe. In his portfolio there are clients like The National Geographic Traveler Magazine, Condé Nast Traveller, Le Figaro, Outside Magazine, Geo Germany, Stern, la Repubblica, The Sunday Times, The Guardian. In 2011 he founded a publishing house dedicated to books with new imagery and new atmospheres. His last book Not Food for Old Men. A Mexican Culinary Adventure reached the Top Ten in 4 different categories of the Amazon chart in the US.
Sara DeGoniais an American writer and editor currently living and working in Wellington, New Zealand. When she’s not combing through her clients’ work for copy edits, or working on her next book, Sara can be found curled up with a popular novel, a new cookbook, or the latest Entertainment Weekly. She also enjoys taking advantage of NZ’s beautiful coastline, dining at any restaurant’s outdoor patio, and weekly visits to the local movie theater with her husband, Andrew.
